Significantly, Lara had earlier spent time in Australia with the team’s coaches and players and is confident that he will be able to help the players mentally and strategically.

Lara has joined the West Indies Test team in Zimbabwe. He is also a member of the committee to investigate the reasons for the team’s poor performance in the T20 World Cup. Lara’s tenure has not yet been decided, but it is believed that he will definitely remain in this post till the ODI World Cup to be held this year. However, during this time he will remain the head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL.

Brian Lara was recently appointed to the CWI review panel following the West Indies team’s early ouster from the 2022 T20 World Cup. At the same time, the West Indies team also lost the Test series against Australia after this. However, he wants to improve the team for the 50-over World Cup to be held in India this year.
