Vande Bharat will run in Rangpo, Sikkim, know since when the railway minister claimed to run the train

Vande Bharat: As part of connecting Northeast Sikkim with other states of the country, the Central Government has decided to run the Vande Bharat train at Rangpo in Sikkim by next year. The Central Government is giving a lot of emphasis on improving the railway infrastructure in the North Eastern region. In view of this, Union Railway Minister Vaishnav while addressing the program organized at Samman Bhawan on Monday said that by December 2024 Vande Bharat train will be started at Rangpo in Sikkim.

On the other hand, regarding the under-construction rail project connecting Sikkim, the Union Railway Minister said that it is a very difficult project, but good progress is being made in this project. He told that he had also inspected this project on Sunday itself. By December 2024, the Vande Bharat train will reach Rangpo in Sikkim. He said that there is a plan to extend the railway line from Rangpo to the border areas of the state.

The doors of economic progress will open for Sikkim

The Railway Minister said that keeping this in mind, the government is making several efforts in this direction that starting of Vande Bharat in the state will boost tourism from Rangpo in Sikkim and the government wants to take advantage of these possibilities. This will not only lead to the regional development of the North Eastern states, but also open the doors of economic progress for them.

10 thousand crore rupees were given in this budget for the development of railway services in the northeast.

Union Railway Minister Vaishnav said that the Modi government is committed to the development of the northeastern states. Till the year 2014, only 2000 crore rupees were allocated for the development of railway services in the Northeast, but the central government has increased the amount to 10 thousand crore rupees in this budget. Let us tell you that at present out of 8 states of North Eastern region, rail network connectivity is now available in 7 states.
