UP Yoddha beat Bengaluru Bulls, Pradeep Narwal seen in old avatar; did a strong performance

UP Yoddha vs Bengaluru Bulls Match Report: In the 23rd match of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2022, UP Yoddha defeated Bengaluru Bulls by a margin of 44-37. After suffering two consecutive defeats, UP has won, which is the second win of this season for them. On the other hand, Bengaluru, which has won two consecutive matches, has got its first defeat of the season. UP’s star and the league’s most successful raider Pradeep Narwal put up a brilliant Super 10 showing the old style.

Bangalore got all out twice in the first half itself

For the first 10 minutes, the match went at a very slow pace, in which both the teams took almost equal points. However, after this Vikas Kandola was self-out and UP took advantage of this tremendously. He took a good lead in the match by giving Bangalore all out. When the team of Bangalore came on the mat again, this time Pradeep Narwal broke down as havoc on them. Pradeep got Bangalore all out for the second time by dismissing four defenders in a single raid.

Pradeep got nine raid points in the first half and his partner Surender Gill also took seven raid points. Vikas Kandola could not even open the account in the first half. Bharat fought for Bengaluru alone with five points. UP’s defense made five tackles, while Bengaluru’s defense could make only two tackles. In the first half, UP took a lead of 14 points.

By coming back in the second half, Bengaluru got a point despite the defeat.

In the second half also, UP’s blast continued and within six minutes, they all-out for the third time in Bangalore. Meanwhile, Pradeep and Surender had also completed their respective Super 10s. UP’s lead had become even stronger, but Bharat was single-handedly fighting for Bengaluru. By bowling UP all out in the 18th minute, Bengaluru had reduced UP’s lead to less than 15 points.

Vikas Kandola, who could not even open the account in the first half, performed well in the second half and completed his Super 10 and reduced the margin of defeat for his team. Vikas took 11 points to allow UP to win by only seven points and gave Bengaluru a point despite a loss.
