Twitter TikTok and Instagram style video: Twitter is coming with a new feature on iOS. Seeing the success of vertical videos on social media sites, Twitter has decided to enter this field itself. The microblogging company announced that it is launching immersive full-screen videos for users of the Twitter iOS app.

In a blog post, the company said that Twitter’s updated immersive media viewer will spread the video across the screen with a single click, allowing you to easily enjoy the full immersive viewing video experience. To turn it on, all you have to do is tap/click on a video in the Twitter app. These videos will look like vertical videos like Tiktok and Instagram reels.

According to the blog post and screenshot shared by Twitter, Twitter is taking steps in this direction. As is the case on other platforms like Instagram Reels Once you watch a video in full-screen mode, you can scroll up to go down the feed of more videos. When you decide you no longer want to watch the video, you can hit the back arrow at the top corner to return to the original Tweet.

Videos can be liked, shared and retweeted

But these videos will still be part of the Tweet and users will be able to click on the screen to view the Tweet associated with the video and will also be able to like, reply and retweet it. The new video experience will also be available in the Explore section of the app. The Explore section will now include videos along with tweets and trends. Apart from the features announced by Twitter, it also seems that the company is experimenting with the video view count feature. Just like it is available on Instagram Reels.
