Trial begins for admission under ECA, sports quota in DU after October 10

Delhi University Admission 2022: The test for sports quota for the admission process for the session 2022-23 of the University of Delhi (DU) will begin from October 10. Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh gave this information on Monday. For admission under ECA and sports quota, 25 percent weightage will be given to Common Entrance Test (CUET) marks, certificate and test 75 percent weightage.

Know who can apply
Let us inform that a total of 14 categories will be available to apply for the students (except NSS and NCC) in ECA and Sports quota. Students can apply for maximum 3 categories. Candidates will have to submit 5 certificates, out of which the best 3 will be considered. As far as CUET scores are concerned, they will be given 25 per cent weightage and the candidate’s certificate will be given 75 per cent weightage. The seat allotment will be done on the basis of a combined ECA merit, CEM. To become eligible for admission and seat allotment, candidates have to score a total of 30 marks out of 75 marks.

Know how the score card will be prepared
Earlier due to the pre-Coronavirus, students were given admission on the basis of their performance certificates. However, this year there will be a return to offline trials. To be sure of allotment, students have to score 20 out of 200 for their sports certificate and 200 out of 400 for their test. For the academic session 2022-2023, DU has planned to conduct offline tests for ECA and sports quota students. A total of 27 sports will be given for female candidates and 26 sports are available for male candidates. For admission to sports, candidates will be scored on the basis of a combined sports merit, CSM. Under CSM, 25 percent weightage will be given to CUET score, 25 percent to sport certificate and 50 percent weightage to sports trial.
