The meeting to be held on 28th became a joke
10 Central Trade Unions have said in their joint statement that pre-budget meetings are a joke. We all are boycotting the virtual pre-budget consultation meeting with Finance Minister Sitharaman on 28 November 2022. The union has demanded a physical meeting i.e. face-to-face meeting with proper time to speak in this meeting. He has said that each union will get 3 minutes, this is a joke. After all, what do you want to hear in 3 minutes. We refuse to be a part of it.
Corona is over, so why not talk face to face
According to media reports, these trade unions have said in the letter that now the corona virus has been eradicated from all over the country. So why can’t we talk face to face, there is disappointment with the virtual mode of organizing this meeting. And in just 75 minutes, more than 12 trade unions have to present their views.
This trade union is boycotting
10 central trade unions have boycotted the meeting regarding the budget 2023-24. This letter to the Finance Minister has been written on behalf of 10 organizations including TUCC, SEWA, HMS, AICCTU, LPF, AIUTUC, UTUC, except Indian Labor Union, INTUC, AITUC, HMS, CITU. A pre-budget meeting with trade unions has been called on 28 November 2022 from 11 am to 12.15 pm.
