On this day, the birth anniversary of the country’s first PM Jawaharlal Nehru is celebrated and Children’s Day is celebrated on this occasion. Due to special attachment to children, their birth anniversary is celebrated as Children’s Day. Children’s Day celebration is a tribute to Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru who was fondly called ‘Chacha Nehru’ by children. Nehru was born on 14 November 1889.
