This year this company will go ahead in the world in terms of 5G network

Reliance Jio, the telecom company of the richest Indian businessman Mukesh Ambani, has spread rapidly since its launch. Within a few years, Reliance Jio became the country’s largest telco. Now this company is going to be at the forefront of the world in terms of 5G network.

The company’s president gave this statement

According to a PTI news, this has been claimed by Reliance Jio President Mathew Oommen. He said that Reliance Jio will continue to provide 5G services to the common people on a large scale at affordable rates and along with this will become the world’s largest company with only 5G network. He told PTI at the Mobile World Congress that India needs inclusive growth and Jio will continue to support it.

Will become the largest such company

Jio President said, Jio will become the world’s largest 5G Standalone Only Network Operator in the second half of 2023. Along with this, the company will also ensure that all modern facilities are available to the common people at affordable rates. Oommen was answering questions about Reliance Jio’s 5G roll out plan.

Difference between Jio and Airtel network

Let us tell you that both Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, the country’s two largest telecom companies, have adopted different strategies regarding 5G. While Reliance Jio is focusing on 5G standalone network, Bharti Airtel is setting up 5G non-standalone network. Non-standalone network provides both 5G and 4G services simultaneously.

Airtel in favor of increasing tariffs

Talking about the rates of data and other mobile services, the President of Reliance Jio did not give any indication about this. He was asked a question regarding the statements of competitor Bharti Airtel about increasing the tariff. However, Oommen did not react. As far as Airtel is concerned, the country’s second largest telco had last month increased the rates of its entry level mobile phone service plan with a validity of 28 days. Their rates were increased by about 57 per cent to Rs 155 in eight circles.

5G network in so many cities

Reliance Jio has so far expanded 5G network in more than 300 cities of the country, while Bharti Airtel has just launched 5G network in more than 140 cities.
