After the restoration of peace, this district is not only top in Chhattisgarh in terms of earning revenue, but it has gone miles ahead of many other districts of the country.

The figures given by the state government

The government of Chhattisgarh has recently shared the figures of earnings from minerals. These figures of the state government are for the financial year 2022-23, which ended last month. In this the government has told that which district has earned how much revenue from minerals during the last financial year. Dantewada has been the top earning district in terms of mineral revenue.

Chhattisgarh earned so much

According to statistics, in the last financial year, the state government earned a record revenue of Rs 12,941 crore from minerals. This figure is Rs 636 crore more than the revenue earned in 2021-22. According to state government figures, the highest amount of Rs 3,607 crore has been received from iron ore, followed by Rs 3,336 crore from coal. Considerable revenue has also been obtained from limestone and bauxite.

Got so many crores from Dantewada

If we talk according to the districts of Chhattisgarh, Dantewada is on top in earning revenue. Dantewada district has collected Rs 6,419 crore from minerals revenue during the last financial year. In terms of revenue from minerals, Korba contributed Rs 2,361 crore, Raigarh Rs 1,717 crore, Balod Rs 760 crore, Baloda Bazar Rs 315 crore, Kanker Rs 286 crore and Surguja Rs 262 crore.

Government will earn big money

Joint Director of Geology and Mining, Anurag Dewan said, the state government has auctioned 29 mineral blocks in Chhattisgarh on the basis of revenue sharing, from which the state will get one lakh crore rupees in the coming years. Under the revenue sharing system, for the first time the state government has been successful in earning Rs 52.52 lakh by participating in the auction of two blocks of limestone.
