PUBG banned by Taliban: The Taliban government of Afghanistan has announced that it has decided to ban PUBG Mobile within the next three months on charges of promoting violence. Afghanistan’s Ministry of Telecommunications met with officials from the security sector as well as the Sharia Law Enforcement Administration. In this meeting, it was decided to ban PUBG Mobile and Tiktok in the country within 90 days.

According to the Afghan news agency Khama Press, it will take up to 90 days for the ban on PUBG Mobile to take effect. The Taliban has decided to implement a ban on Tiktok in a month’s time. The Afghan government has reportedly informed the country’s telecom and internet service companies about this.

The announcement of the ban on PUBG Mobile and Tiktok comes after the Taliban banned more than 23 million websites of Afghan citizens. The interim government alleged that the websites were showing unethical content. Najibullah Haqqani, communications minister in the Taliban administration, said the government had banned 23.4 million websites.

PUBG Mobile banned in India, Pakistan

Before Afghanistan, India had banned PUBG Mobile in 2020. The Indian government alleged that PUBG Mobile was against the sovereignty of India. But PUBG Mobile was back again last year with a new version called Battleground Mobile India after the approval of the government. But the government has recently banned BGMI as well. Apart from this, Pakistan has banned PUBG Mobile for promoting violence among children as well as making them addicted to smartphones, which can have a bad effect on their health.
