It is known that a year ago in 2021, the unemployment rate was 9.8 percent during the same period. Unemployment rate is defined as the percentage of persons unemployed among the labor force.

According to the survey, the unemployment rate among women (aged 15 years and above) in urban areas has come down to 9.4 per cent in July-September, 2022. Which was 11.6 percent in the same period a year ago. Also, during April-June, 2022, the same figure was 9.5 percent. At the same time, the unemployment rate of men in urban areas decreased to 6.6 percent in July-September 2022 as compared to 9.3 percent a year ago. It was 7.1 percent in April-June 2022.
