Narayan became very angry and beheaded the demon with Sudarshan Chakra, since that demon had taken a few drops of nectar, so he became immortal in the form of Rahu and Ketu. The head of the demon is called Rahu and the body is called Ketu. Since then Rahu-Ketu, Moon and Sun are considered as their enemies and from time to time they suffer (eat) these planets.
