Fertilizer prices will be controlled
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, in which several important proposals were approved. Fertilizers and Chemicals Minister Mansukh Mandaviya informed about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting. He said that the Union Cabinet has approved a fertilizer subsidy of Rs 1.08 lakh crore for the Kharif season 2023-24. This step of the government will curb the retail prices of fertilizers.
Government will give subsidy on these fertilizers
Mandaviya informed that 70 thousand rupees for urea for Kharif season in the cabinet meeting. Subsidy of Rs. crore has been approved. Apart from this, a subsidy of Rs 38,000 crore has been approved for DAP and other fertilizers. In this way, a total of Rs 1.08 lakh crore will be spent on fertilizer subsidy in the Kharif season from April 2023 to March 2024.
Fertilizer prices will not change throughout the year
Mandaviya told that now There will be no change in the Maximum Retail Prices (MRP) of fertilizers till 2024. Let us tell you that at present the price of urea is Rs 276 per bag, while DAP is being sold at Rs 1,350 per bag. Fertilizer subsidy is estimated to benefit about 12 crore farmers.
2nd PLI scheme for IT hardware
Apart from this, the cabinet approved a total of 17 thousand crore rupees for IT hardware production. The second phase of the linked incentive ie PLI scheme was also approved. Union Information Technology and Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav gave this information. He told after the cabinet meeting that the duration of the second phase of this PLI scheme is six years. Devices like laptops, tablets, all in one PC servers will be covered in the second phase of IT Hardware PLI scheme.
So many people can get employment
IT Minister said that this The incentive scheme can generate Rs 3.35 lakh crore and an investment of Rs 2,430 crore is expected. He said that 75 thousand people can get direct employment opportunities from this second phase of PLI scheme for IT hardware. The government had earlier approved the first PLI scheme for IT hardware in February 2021 for Rs 7,350 crore.
