NEET UG Academic Calendar: National Medical Commission (NMC) has released the academic calendar for Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme. As per the academic calendar 2022-23 of NMC, the classes for the MBBS 1st year batch will be held from November 15, 2022 to December 15, 2023. During this, medical students will be taught anatomy, physiology and biochemistry in the first phase. The session for the second year of MBBS will start from December 16, 2023. The duration of first and second year MBBS batch is 13 months as per the NMC calendar. Apart from this, the colleges affiliated to the affiliated university can arrange holidays and exam schedule according to their academic session. Apart from this, while preparing the draft academic calendar, NMC has also issued several guidelines for medical colleges and universities.

MBBS course will be completed in 66 months

Meanwhile, the NMC has also directed the universities to conduct supplementary examinations with a gap of one month before the regular examinations and to declare the results of these examinations within 15 days. NMC said that the total duration of MBBS course is 66 months. During the first 13 months, students will be taught anatomy, physiology and biochemistry. In the next 13 months, students will have to study Pathology, Microbiology and Pharmacology.

  • Internship – June 1, 2023 to May 31, 2028
  • PG – 01 July 2028

Meanwhile, Medical Counseling Committee, MCC has activated the link for NEET UG 2022 counseling registration. Candidates who appeared in the NEET UG exam and have cleared the exam can register themselves for the NEET UG counseling process on the official website, mcc.nic.in.
