G20 Finance Ministers Meeting 2023: The first meeting with Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) of G-20 countries under the chairmanship of G-20 of India is going to be held on February 24-25, 2023 in Bengaluru. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Dr Shaktikanta Das will jointly chair the meeting.

Economic issues will be discussed

Finance ministers and central bank governors of G-20 members, invitees from other countries and heads of international organizations are participating in the first meeting of the G-20 FMCBG under the chairmanship of India. In all, more than 72 delegations are involved in this meeting. This meeting will be organized under the chairmanship of India. In this, practical and meaningful discussions will be held to solve some major global economic issues. In which the exchange of meaningful ideas between ministers and governors can be promoted.

FCBD meeting will be held on 22

Before the G-20 FMCBG meeting, there will be a meeting of G-20 finance and central bank representatives (FCBD) on February 22. The meeting will be co-chaired by Ajay Seth, Secretary (Economic Affairs) and Dr. Michael D. Patra, Deputy Governor, RBI (D. Patra, Deputy Governor, RBI). Along with this, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur (Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur) will inaugurate the G-20 FCBD meeting.

Meeting will be held in three sessions

This meeting will be held in three sessions on 24-25 February, in which the target will be to strengthen banks to solve the common global challenges of the 21st century. In this session, issues related to Global Economy, Global Health and International Taxation will be discussed. Also, on 26 February 2023, the delegates will get an opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Karnataka.
