Go First Crisis: The Indian aviation sector suffered a major setback when Go First, a company providing cheap air services in the country, applied to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) to declare itself bankrupt. Talking about the future of the airlines, GoFirst CEO Kaushik Khona has assured all its employees that the company will pay the April salary soon. Along with this, he also refused to take any kind of salary cut.

According to the report published in Business Line, GoFirst CEO Kaushik Khona said that the airlines is trying to get interim funds soon. For this, the company is also in talks with several Middle East carriers. Talking to the pilot on this issue, he said that the process of raising funds will be completed as per IBC norms. On Tuesday, the CoC (Committee of Creditors) will be formed according to the rules of IBC, in which a plan will be presented to raise the company from debt. This plan will be presented by Abhilash Lal, the resolution professional (IRP) appointed by NCLT.

On Saturday, GoFirst CEO Kaushik Khona had a meeting with the pilots for more than 2 hours, in which he answered many questions. Khona said that at the moment we want to focus on three things. That is the arrangement of salary, operation and funds. On this occasion, he apologized to his employees and said that with the onset of Corona, the airlines have delayed giving salary.
After this the situation went from bad to worse, but I want to assure you that all the employees will definitely get their April salary and there will be no deduction in it. Significantly, GoFirst has a total of 7,000 permanent employees and the company is giving employment to a total of 10,000 people. It is worth noting that NCLT has ordered the airlines not to retrench any employee.
