Cheteshwar Pujara’s Fifty: Cheteshwar Pujara is generally recognized for his slow batting. This is the reason that he is neither seen playing in IPL, nor appears in Team India’s ODI and T20 team. He scored back to back centuries in the Royal London One Day Cup in England, playing many blazing innings and now he has shown his flair in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Playing for Saurashtra on Friday, Pujara played a brilliant innings against Nagaland. He scored 62 runs in just 35 balls. The momentum he gave to his team in the powerplay remained intact till the last and Saurashtra, batting first, scored 203 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Apart from Pujara, Samarth Vyas played a brilliant innings of 97 runs off 51 balls.
Chasing the target of 204 runs, Nagaland got off to a bad start. The team kept on losing wickets from the very beginning. The entire team could score only 106 runs till the stipulated overs. In this way, Saurashtra won this match by 97 runs.
