The crowd near the check point at the airports has also come to the notice of the government and now a solution is being found for it. For this, the government is making a special preparation.

These passengers will get facility

Government is launching ‘Trusted Traveler Program’ for some travelers. Under this, these passengers will get the facility of fast immigration clearance at the airports. Under this program, this VIP facility will be available to those passengers who will be pre-verified. This program will be for Indian passport holders and will be implemented at all international airports in the country.

This is the timeline of the program

In a HT report, quoting government officials, it has been claimed that the government will start the Trusted Traveler Program this year itself. First it will be launched on pilot basis i.e. experimental basis at Delhi and Mumbai airports. After that it will be implemented at 15 additional airports by the year 2027. By the year 2032, this program will be implemented at all international airports in India.

Trial will start soon

The official said that three electronic gates have been installed at Delhi Airport to implement the Trusted Traveler Program. Two of these electronic gates will be for arrival, while 1 gate will be for departure. The trial of the Trusted Traveler Program has not started yet, but it is expected that it will be started soon at the Delhi airport.

This facility will be available from the program

After the introduction of this facility, already verified passengers will be able to use the electronic gate and they will not have to stand in long queues at the check point for clearance. On the one hand, this step will save the time of the passengers, as well as reduce the crowd of queues at the airports. This type of system is already in force in America, which is known as the Global Entry Program.
