Stock Market Closing On 31st January 2023: The Indian stock market has closed with a boom for the second consecutive trading day. The stock market has seen a boom due to investors’ buying, rapid economic survey estimates and expectations of a better budget. There was strong buying in banking sector stocks, due to which the BSE Sensex closed at 59,549 with a gain of 50 points and the National Stock Exchange’s Nifty closed at 17,662 points with a jump of 13 points.

In today’s trading session, there was buying in the shares of Banking, Auto, Public Sector Banks, FMCG, Metals, Media, Energy and Consumer Durables. While there has been selling in the shares of IT, Healthcare, Pharma sector. Buying has been seen in midcap and smallcap stocks. Of the 30 Sensex stocks, 16 closed with gains and 14 with losses. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 24 closed with gains while 26 closed with losses.

In today’s trading session, Mahindra & Mahindra 3.41 per cent, Ultratech Cement 3.09 per cent, Power Grid 3.02 per cent, SBI 2.85 per cent, ITC 2.21 per cent, Titan Company 1.99 per cent, Tata Motors 1.94 per cent, NTPC closed with a gain of 1.36 per cent. While in falling stocks, TCS closed down by 2.27 per cent, Bajaj Finance by 2.26 per cent, Tech Mahindra by 2 per cent, Asian Paints by 1.43 per cent, Sun Pharma by 1.30 per cent, HDFC by 0.91 per cent, Wipro by 0.89 per cent.

Today there has been a boom in the wealth of investors in the stock market. The market cap of companies listed on BSE has reached Rs 269.66 lakh crore, while the market cap was Rs 268.60 lakh crore on Monday. That is, there has been a jump of Rs 1.06 lakh crore in the wealth of investors.
