SSC CGL Result 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to announce the results of the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier 1 examination. Candidates who appeared for the exam, held from September 9 to 26, 2024, can check their results on the official website at ssc.gov.in. The SSC CGL 2024 Tier 1 exam was conducted from September 9 to September 26, as part of a recruitment drive to fill 17,727 Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ positions across various government departments and ministries.

Candidates will be shortlisted for the Tier-II Examination based on their Tier-I marks (Computer-Based Examination) through a category-wise selection process. Separate cut-offs will be set for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) to qualify for Paper-I and Paper-II of Tier-II, for Statistical Investigator Grade-II to qualify for Paper-I and Paper-II of Tier-II, and for all other posts to qualify for Paper-I of Tier-II.

Candidates will need to follow these steps to check their results: 

Step 1: Visit the official website of the SSC at ssc.gov.in.

Step 2: Navigate to the ‘Result’ section.

Step 3: Click on the result link within the PDF.

Step 4: Your result will be displayed on your screen.

SSC CGL Marking Scheme 2024

The SSC CGL 2024 question paper included four sections:

1. General Intelligence and Reasoning

2. General Awareness

3. Quantitative Aptitude

4. English Comprehension

Each section carried a total of 50 marks, with every question worth 2 marks. A penalty of 0.50 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. To calculate their marks, candidates must multiply the number of correct answers by 2 (marks per correct answer) and then subtract 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer from the total.

To pass the exam, candidates in the unreserved category need a minimum score of 30%, while OBC and EWS candidates must secure at least 25%. For SC and ST candidates, the minimum qualifying mark is 20%.
