Slight fall in Sensex-Nifty, but 70 percent of the stocks in the market closed down

Stock Market Closing On 28th March 2023: The Indian stock market has seen a decline in today’s trading session. Due to profit booking by investors, the market has declined. Even though the Sensex-Nifty has closed with a minor digit decline. But the fall in the market has been massive. Because of the fall, small caps and mid caps have been paid the most. At the end of today’s trading, the BSE Sensex fell by 40 points to 57,613 and the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed by 34 points at 16,951 points.

In today’s trade, only banking stocks gained while IT, Auto, Metals, Energy, FMCG, Oil and Gas sector shares declined significantly. Midcap and small cap stocks also declined. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 18 closed with gains while 32 closed with losses. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 11 closed with gains while 19 closed with losses. A total of 3644 shares were traded in which 2500 shares closed with gains and 1045 shares with losses.

In today’s business, IndusInd Bank closed down by 2.13 per cent, Power Grid by 1.20 per cent, HDFC Bank by 1.06 per cent, NTPC by 0.61 per cent, Reliance by 0.47 per cent, Tata Steel by 0.20 per cent. While Tech Mahindra closed down by 2.90 per cent, Tata Motors by 2.29 per cent, Bharti Airtel by 1.94 per cent.

Heavy loss to investors

Investors have suffered huge losses due to the fall in Indian stock market neither small cap nor mid cap stocks. The market cap of companies listed on BSE has come down to Rs 252 lakh crore, which was Rs 253.51 lakh crore on Monday. Investors have suffered a loss of Rs 1.51 lakh crore in today’s trading session.
