There were also fewer tourists visiting Kashmir during the winter season.
Large number of tourists coming to visit Kashmir
Till three years back, no one could have imagined that Kashmir would become abuzz on the eve of Christmas and New Year itself and tourists from all over the country would flock to the Valley to spend the year-end holidays. Hotels will be booked in winter and tourism stakeholders will be busy even in off season. During the last three years, the government has made tireless efforts to restore the glory of Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir had lost its glory in 1990 when Pakistan sponsored terrorism broke out on it. Till the nineties, people from all over the country and the world used to visit Kashmir in large numbers, but the arrival of terrorists in 1990 caused a major setback to the tourist sector of the Himalayan region.

His antics drove the tourists away from Kashmir, due to which the people associated with the tourism industry had to suffer a lot. During the last three years, Jammu and Kashmir has made unprecedented development in every field. Peace has once again returned to the valley. Pakistan sponsored terrorists have been shown their rightful place. The beasts flying on the orders of their masters sitting in Pakistan are either behind bars or are now sitting with their mouths shut. Tourists have also returned to Kashmir and their numbers are increasing with each passing year.
