Siraj became the bowling king of ODI cricket, the performance of the last one year got the number-1 ranking

Muhammad Siraj: India’s fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has got the first position in the latest ICC ODI bowling rankings. This is the first time that he has become number-1 in the ODI rankings. In the last one year, Siraj has achieved this position on the basis of his excellent performance in ODI cricket.

Siraj, who made his ODI debut in the year 2019, could not find a place in the ODI team for three years in between. He returned to ODI cricket from February 2022. After this the bowler regularly improved his bowling and added new skills. The result was that in the recently concluded Sri Lanka and New Zealand ODI series all the batsmen were seen faltering in front of them.

This has been the performance in the last one year
Siraj played 20 ODIs in this one year and took a total of 37 wickets. During this, he bowled very tightly. His economy rate remained under 5. This bowler bowled brilliantly against Sri Lanka and New Zealand. He was the ‘Player of the Series’ in the ODI series played against Sri Lanka at the beginning of the year. He took 9 wickets here and achieved the third position by taking a long jump in the ICC rankings. He maintained the same trend against New Zealand as well. Here he overtook New Zealand’s Trent Boult and Australia’s Josh Hazlewood with strong bowling and got the title of ODI’s number-1 bowler.

These are the top-10
Mohammad Siraj is now at the top of the ODI bowlers’ rankings with 729 rating points. Josh Hazlewood (727) and Trent Boult (708) are in the second position here. Mitchell Starc (665) and Rashid Khan (659) are present in the top-5 list. The top-10 includes Adam Zampa, Shakib Al Hasan, Shaheen Afridi, Mustafizur Rahman and Mujeeb ur Rahman. India’s second bowler in the top-20 is Kuldeep Yadav.
