Shubman Gill disappointed as India-New Zealand match gets washed away in rain, told this option

India vs New Zealand 2nd ODI: The rain washed out the second ODI between India and New Zealand in Hamilton. The toss was delayed for the match due to bad weather. When the match started, not even five overs were bowled when it rained. Due to which a lot of time of the match was lost. After this, when the ground became suitable for playing, it was reduced to 29 overs to compensate for the time. The game was in progress in the 13th over. Now one more ball of this over was left to be bowled. During this it started raining again.

Seeing the bad weather, the umpires declared the match cancelled. Team Team India, batting first in the match, scored 89 runs for 1 wicket in 12.5 overs. Opener Shubman Gill was very disappointed after the match was washed away in the rain.

Gill said better option

Shubman Gill, who scored 50 runs in the first match against New Zealand, was batting brilliantly in the second match as well. He scored an unbeaten 45 in this match. He was looking in good touch. Shubman expressed disappointment after the match was canceled due to rain.

New Zealand ahead 1-0

The hosts are ahead 1-0 in the three ODI series being played between India and New Zealand. In the match played in Auckland on 25 November, the Kiwis registered a 7-wicket win over Team India. India scored 306 runs for 7 wickets while playing first. To achieve the target of 307 runs for victory, the New Zealand team achieved the target with 17 balls to spare. In this match, Kane Williamson and Tom Latham played a partnership of 221 runs. Williamson scored an unbeaten 94 runs. On the other hand, Latham also remained not out after scoring 145 runs. Now the last match of the series between the two teams will be played in Christchurch on 30 November.
