See here the list of states where schools are closed due to cold

The havoc of cold has increased. As soon as January comes, the cold wave has engulfed many states of the country. Because of this, many states have announced winter vacation. Keeping in view the safety of children in many states including UP, Punjab, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Haryana, not only holidays have been increased, but in many places the timing of opening of schools has been changed. In this news, you can know how long the holidays are in which state.

Schools will remain closed in Uttar Pradesh till January 14
Schools in most districts of Uttar Pradesh will remain closed from December 31, 2022 to January 14, 2023 due to the severe cold. However, schools will remain closed in Lucknow from January 4 to 7.

Holidays extended in Punjab
Earlier school holidays in Punjab were till January 3, but in view of the cold, now they have been extended till January 9. All private and government schools in Punjab will now open from January 10.

Schools closed till January 15 in Haryana
The winter holidays in Haryana will be from January 1 to 15. Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gurjar has ordered winter holidays in all government schools from January 1 to 15.

School timings changed in Madhya Pradesh
Due to severe cold in many districts including Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, the opening time of schools has been changed. Orders have been issued to open schools in Bhopal after 9.30 am. On the other hand, the Collector of Shivpuri district has ordered the closure of all schools up to class VIII till January 7.

Schools have not been completely closed in Bihar, although schools are closed in some districts by the order of the DM. Schools from nursery to 8th in Patna will remain closed till January 7. Due to Sunday on 8th January, the schools of Patna will now open from 9th January. Schools will remain closed in Bihar’s Buxar till January 5. While schools in Aurangabad, Bihar Sharif and Jehanabad will remain closed till January 7.

Due to severe cold in Jharkhand, primary schools (class 1 to class 5) will have winter vacations till January 8.

Holiday till January 5 in Rajasthan
In Rajasthan, winter vacation has been declared for schools from 25 December 2022 to 5 January 2023.

Due to snowfall in Himachal Pradesh, roads are closed in many areas. Winter vacation in Himachal schools will remain till February 12.
