School holiday has been declared for the next 2 days in many districts of Uttar Pradesh (UP) due to rain. The rivers and streams are in spate due to heavy rains. Waterlogging has occurred in many places in the cities. There are also reports in many places that water has entered people’s houses.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in UP for the next 1 to 2 days. In view of this, the district officials of many districts have given instructions to the officials of the education department to declare the school holiday.
Holiday declared in these districts so far
According to reports, the District Magistrate has issued orders to keep schools closed in Agra, Moradabad, Hathras, Aligarh, Kanpur Nagar, Firozabad, Bulandshahr. Along with this, orders may be issued in some other districts to keep schools closed till late night, in such a situation, make sure to confirm once before sending your children to school tomorrow morning.
Holiday declared in schools
District Basic Education Officer Moradabad said that as per the instructions of the District Magistrate Moradabad, schools of all the boards of classes 1 to 12 will remain closed on Monday in view of the continuous heavy rains in Moradabad. Due to excessive rain and waterlogging in Hathras, the District Magistrate has given instructions to keep all the schools and educational institutions of the district closed. In the last 24 hours in Agra, more than 70 mm of rain has been recorded in Agra. After which the officials of the Education Department have instructed to keep all the schools closed till 12th on 10th and 11th October. Similarly, in Aligarh and Bulandshahr, instructions have been given to keep schools closed on Monday and Tuesday.
Yellow and orange alert issued
According to the bulletin of the IMD, heavy rains are expected in many parts of Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Due to which yellow alert has been issued in some city and orange alert in some.
