RCB retained most of the players for the upcoming season, see how the whole team is at present

IPL 2023 Retention: Royal Challengers Bangalore, who have been making their place in the play-offs of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the last three consecutive years, have started preparations for the next season. This franchise, which usually makes a lot of changes in the team, has done shocking work before this season. Actually RCB has decided to retain most of its players before the auction of the upcoming season. The team has released only five players, out of which one has gone out of the team through trading.

RCB has released Lavneeth Sisodia, Anishwar Gautam, Chama Milind and Sherfane Rutherford ahead of the upcoming season. Jason Behrendorff has already gone to Mumbai Indians through trading. Looking at the released players, only Rutherford seems to be the only big T20 player. However, his performance in this league has been disappointing.

Will the giants live up to the trust?

Last season, RCB had prepared a good unit, but it was often seen that the middle order of the team was disappointing. Shahbaz Ahmed and Karthik had pulled the team out of trouble many times in the lower order, but the running of the middle order would be very important. RCB will have only Rs 8.75 crore in the auction, so they cannot be expected to buy anything big. However, they can definitely try to bring some backup players.
