TCS update: Rajesh Gopinathan, MD and CEO of Tata Consultancy Services, the country’s largest IT company, has resigned. The company has shared this information by issuing a statement. TCS has announced the appointment of Krithivasan as the new CEO from March 16, 2023, after the resignation of Rajesh Gopinathan.
K Krithivasan (K Krithivasan) is currently posted as the President of the company and Global Head of Banking, Financial Services and Insurance Business Group (BFSI). K Krithivasan has been associated with TCS for the last 34 years. Rajesh Gopinathan has resigned from his post after being associated with TCS for 22 years and for the last six years he has been posted as the company’s Managing Director and CEO. Rajesh Gopinathan will remain with the company till the month of September.
Rajesh Gopinathan said in his statement that the journey of 22 years with TCS has been very exciting. He said that the experience of working with N Chandrasekaran has been very pleasant. He said that there has been an increase of more than $ 10 billion and market capitalization of more than $ 70 billion. He said that he is working on some ideas. And 2023 is the right time to separate and take forward those ideas.
On his experiences of working with K Krithivasan, he said that, having worked with Krith over the past two decades, I believe he is most capable of taking TCS to new heights. He said that he will work closely with Kriti so that she can get all the help that she needs.
In recent times, resignations of people sitting on the top management positions of many big IT companies including Infosys have come to the fore. And now Rajesh Gopinathan has also decided to leave TCS.
