Indian Railways has dismissed 38 corrupt and negligent officers. Apart from this, a total of 139 employees have also been sent on Voluntary Retirement by the Railways.
According to media reports, two top officials of the Railways have been removed from their posts on Wednesday. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had recently caught two officials taking bribe. After this, while taking action, the Railways had removed both of them from the post.
Railway Minister gave this instruction
According to media reports, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has asked to adopt zero tolerance policy on corruption in Railways. Along with this, he said that the employees who do not work properly should be removed from the post immediately. According to reports, from July 2021, the Railways has taken action against an officer every three days. So far, a total of 139 employees have been sent on voluntary retirement by the Railways. Along with this, 38 officers have also been dismissed.
Railway removed the problems in promotion
Recently, the Railway Minister had announced that 80,000 personnel coming under Supervisor Grade 7 have been given a good news for promotion. The Railway Minister told that the problems faced in the promotion of personnel have been removed by the Railways. After this, there will be no problem in promoting the employees of supervisor grade or above. Along with this, the pressure is increasing on the Railways regarding the performance of the officers. Now if an employee is found to be negligent in work or involved in corruption, then he will be dismissed from the job or given VRS.
