Thanking the PM for getting more funds to the Railways, the Union Minister said that there was a shortage of budget for many years, which has been completed this time. The Railway Minister said that this budget will be spent on hydrogen train, Vande Bharat train, development of stations and other important things.

1275 station will be renovated

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that a proposal has been made to develop 1275 stations. In this, renovation will be done from big stations to medium stations and some small stations.

Production of Vande Bharat Express trains

Giving further information, the Railway Minister said that more focus of the Railways will be on the Vande Bharat train. Vande Bharat is being produced in many states of the country like in Raipur. Till now a total of 8 Vande Bharat trains are being run. There is a plan to run it in every state of the country. He said that Vande Bharat trains will also be manufactured in Rae Bareli in UP.

What about hydrogen train and bullet train

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the hydrogen train will come by December 2023 and it will be designed and manufactured in India. First it will run on heritage circuit like Kalka-Shimla and later it will be expanded to other places. Regarding the bullet train, the Railway Minister said that its work is being done at a fast pace. While promoting green energy, ultra mega solar plants will be set up for electricity.

Rs 10 lakh crore for capital investment

Apart from railways, the central government has made a provision of Rs 10 lakh crore for the strengthening of infrastructure in this budget, which is an increase of 33 per cent compared to last year. A provision of Rs 7.5 lakh was made in last year’s budget. On this, Arun Krishnamurthy, Managing Director and CEO, AXISCADES, a Bengaluru-based tech solutions firm, said that Budget 2023-24 has emphasized on infrastructure investment, green energy and promotion of skill development, which is a positive thing for the engineering services industry. Is. The Rs 10 lakh crore increase in capital investment outlay under PMKVY in new technology areas like AI and robotics and skill development will enhance outsourcing opportunities for the industry, he added. The identification of 50 new destinations for the tourism sector along with airport infrastructure will boost the demand for aircraft and aerospace industry.
