BCCI Secretary has announced to increase the prize money of all domestic cricketers. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah said that he is happy to announce the increase in prize money for all.
He further wrote that, we will continue to invest in domestic cricket, which is the backbone of Indian cricket. Those who win the Ranji Trophy will now get Rs 5 crore, whereas earlier they used to get only Rs 2 crore. Apart from this, the runner-up team of the Ranji Trophy tournament will get Rs 3 crore, whereas earlier they used to get Rs 1 crore. On the other hand, the losing team in the semi-finals will get Rs 1 crore, while earlier it was Rs 50 lakh.
Women cricketers will also get more money
- Earlier the winner of Irani Cup used to get Rs 25 lakh, but now it will get Rs 50 lakh. On the other hand, the runner-up team used to get nothing earlier, but now they will get Rs 25 lakh.
- In Duleep Trophy, earlier the winner used to get Rs 40 lakh, but now it will get Rs 1 crore. Whereas in this tournament, the runner-up team earlier used to get only Rs 20 lakhs, but now they will get Rs 50 lakhs. Will meet. Whereas the runner-up team used to get Rs 15 lakh only but now it will get Rs 50 lakh.
- Prof. The team that won the DB Deodhar Trophy earlier used to get Rs 25 lakh but now it will get Rs 40 lakh. And the runner-up team used to get Rs 15 lakh earlier and now it will get Rs 20 lakh.
