Mahila Samman Savings Certificate Update: To increase the participation of women in investment, the Finance Ministry has introduced Mahila Samman Bachat Patra Yojana. While giving information about Mahila Samman Saving Scheme in the tweet of Indian Post on April 1, it has been said that this scheme has been started in 1.59 post offices.
Mahila Samman Saving Certificate Scheme
According to the notification issued by the Department of Posts, investment can be made only for two years in Mahila Samman Bachat Patra Yojana. You can invest in this scheme from 1 thousand rupees to 2 lakh rupees. Only a single account can be opened in this scheme. Interest under Mahila Samman Savings Certificate is paid on a quarterly basis. The annual interest in this is 7.5 percent.
Process to invest in Mahila Samman Savings Certificate
On April 1, parents can invest for all women and minor girls in the country. It has been made available in 1.59 lakh post offices.
- To invest, one has to first go to the post office or the nearest bank branch.
- Here you have to fill the form under Mahila Samman Bachat Patra Yojana.
- Now this form will have to be submitted to the post office or bank along with your address and address documents.
- After this, invest the amount of funds you want to invest.
- These funds can be deposited through check or cash.
- A certificate of your investment will be given as a receipt.
