Paytm ties up with SBI Cards and NPCI to launch RuPay Credit Card


Paytm-SBI Cards: Paytm is going to launch Next Generation co-branded Rupay Credit Cards in association with SBI Cards and NPCI. These three companies have come together for the purpose of increasing Financial Inclusion. In this new credit card, users will get welcome benefits, cashback points on spending, as well as many other milestone benefits for a great experience.

Users will be able to use Paytm SBI cards on RuPay network where UPI payment facility will start through credit cards. The objective behind launching this credit card is to make credit available to the people as well as to bring new users for credit into the formal economy through financial inclusion.

Through the Welcome Benefit, users will get an exclusive privilege of Rs 75,000, as well as complimentary Paytm First Membership with the card, which includes OTT platform membership, discount on flights tickets, booking through the Paytm app. This card has been designed for digital savvy people. There will be rewards as well as savings on using the card on the Paytm app with online and offline stores. Cardholders will get 3% cashback on booking travel tickets along with movie tickets from the Paytm app through the Paytm SBI card. 2% cashback on other purchases on Paytm app and 1% cashback on card usage elsewhere.

On the launch of Paytm SBI Card, Paytm Founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma said that India is on the cusp of the next payment revolution where credit will become the biggest payment option. Paytm Rupay Credit Card with SBI Card will prove to be a great option for the consumers. He said that our users are already very aware of QR code-based payments. The UPI QR code of RuPay Credit Card will further encourage transactions through mobile phones, thereby ushering in a new era in digital payments.
