Patna Pirates vs Dabang Delhi: In the 32nd match of Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) 2022, Patna Pirates won the first win of this season by defeating Dabang Delhi. Patna won against Delhi by a margin of 36-33. While Rohit Gulia performed brilliantly for Patna, even Naveen Kumar’s 13 points could not avert Delhi’s defeat.
Delhi’s performance in the first half
For the first 10 minutes of the match, the match was very close and both the teams played carefully. From Patna, Rohit Gulia was constantly bringing points in the raid, while Delhi captain Naveen Kumar had to sit out of the mat for most of the time. In the 14th minute, Delhi took a three-point lead by making two consecutive super tackles. Delhi was on the verge of being all out in the 18th minute, but Ashu Malik put a super raid.
By half time, Delhi had taken a lead of eight points. Both the teams were almost level in raid, but Patna’s defense took only two tackle points against Delhi’s six tackle points in defence. Ravi Kumar and Krishan Kumar Dhull took three tackle points each for Delhi. Rohit Gulia took six raid points for Patna.
Patna turned the match in the second half
Delhi was on the verge of being all out in the sixth minute of the second half, but as the lone player, Naveen saved Delhi’s all out. However, in the very next minute, Delhi’s team was all out and Patna had reduced the lead to just one point. Since then, Patna’s edge continued to be heavy in the match and they took the lead in the match for the first time in the last 10 minutes.
With two and a half minutes remaining in the match, Delhi was on the verge of being all out again, but Ashu avoided the all out by raiding two points. Naveen could not avoid his team’s all out in the next minute and Patna took a five-point lead in the match at a crucial time and won the match.
