In this, there was a plan to have India’s matches in UAE and rest of the teams in Pakistan.

After the objections of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka board regarding this model, it was decided to snatch the hosting of Asia Cup from Pakistan. Now a decision can be taken to organize it in Sri Lanka. In view of the extreme heat in the UAE during the month of September, all other boards can give their consent regarding Sri Lanka. Till now, no official statement has been issued by the PCB in this whole matter.

India got the support of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka

A source in the Asian Cricket Council said in his statement to PTI that no board has given its consent to the proposal of Pakistan to hold matches in India’s UAE and other teams in Pakistan. In this, apart from Sri Lanka, who always supported India, the Bangladesh Cricket Board also supported the BCCI.
