Do you also want to earn big money sitting at home? If yes, then market regulator SEBI (SEBI) itself has given you a golden opportunity. All you have to do is inform SEBI about the defaulter’s property that has disappeared. The market regulator has introduced this unique system to recover fines from such defaulting defaulters.
arrears of thousands of crores
Let us tell you that banks owe Rs 92,570 crore to the top 50 willful defaulters in India, i.e. the top 50 people who deliberately do not repay the loan installments. Recently, the government had given this information in the Parliament. All efforts to recover from such defaulters have proved to be insufficient. At the same time, SEBI has recently released the list of 09 most wanted defaulters. All the most wanted defaulters included in SEBI’s list are currently missing. The regulator is intensifying efforts to recover fines from such defaulters.
Reward will be given in two phases
As per the guidelines of SEBI’s reward mechanism, people providing information about properties of missing defaulters will be rewarded in two phases. In the interim phase, an amount equal to 2.5 per cent of the reserve price of the property will be given as reward to the informer. However, a reward of more than Rs 05 lakh will not be available in this phase. At the same time, in the last phase, a reward of up to Rs 20 lakh or equal to 10 percent of the cost of the property will be given.
identity will remain confidential
If you inform SEBI about any defaulter or his assets, the regulator has assured that your identity will be kept confidential. SEBI has also said that the reward will be given only when the information given is found to be original and the information will be about defaulters from whom recovery has been considered difficult.
This is the number of defaulters
It is difficult to recover, such defaulters are put in the category, from whom many types of efforts have been made to recover. The number of such defaulters in the list issued by SEBI is 515. This means that by sharing information about any of these 515 defaulters, you can get a reward of up to Rs 20 lakh from SEBI.
