Although YouTube had already announced Shorts Fund for Shorts. But very few YouTubers got the benefit of this facility. But every YouTuber with more than 1000 subscribers will get the benefit of this new scheme of YouTube.

In this episode, Google-owned YouTube has decided to take the benefit of YouTube Partner Program to the creators of #Shorts, taking a step forward. According to media reports, YouTube will soon start a partner program for its short-form vertical video format, Shorts.

Some time ago, YouTube launched the Creators Fund for Shorts, however, very few creators benefited from this. But, now ads are coming in shorts. As The New York Times first reported, early next year, the shorts will join the YouTube Partner Program.

Will need 1,000 subscribers

Talking about the eligibility criteria, the creators need to have at least 1,000 subscribers and have to complete 4,000 watch hours in a year. Creators whose shorts have garnered 10 million views in the last 3 months can also apply for the YouTube Partner Program.

45-45-10 percent stake will be

Earlier this year, TikTok also announced ad revenue sharing for creators. YouTube will keep 55 percent of the revenue accumulated from ads on Shorts on YouTube and 45 percent will be given to the creators. However, the opposite is true in the case of YouTube’s long videos. At the same time, about this 10 percent extra money, Amjad Hanif, a YouTube official, says that this 10 percent part will go to those people whose music shorts creators do in their shorts.
