WhatsApp Edit Messages: WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will allow users to edit already sent messages. According to WABetaInfo, an ‘Edited’ label will appear next to the text and users can edit a message within 15 minutes of sending it. The ‘Edit Message’ feature will allow the user to edit his message within a stipulated time. The new edit feature will be an alternative to the “delete message” feature.
As you can see in the screenshot in the tweet, the “Edit” label will appear when the message is edited. Also, WhatsApp will give you exactly 15 minutes to edit a message. As is the case with deleted messages for everyone. However, WhatsApp cannot tell whether your message will actually be edited or not. If the receiver does not turn on his device within a stipulated time, then your message may not be edited. WhatsApp has not yet given any information about the release of this special feature. As always, we will inform you in a new article on this website.
