Singapore Airlines Limited (Singapore Airlines Limited) said on Thursday that it is in talks with the Tata Group regarding a possible deal, in which Vistara and Air India are in discussion. Singapore Airlines says it is “a major effort to further deepen the existing partnership between SIA and Tata, and may include a possible integration of Vistara and Air India.” According to sources, the plan of the Tata Group is to make a strong hold in the airlines sector.

Singapore Airlines says that this discussion was going on for a long time, but so far no definite terms have been agreed. Singapore Airlines holds a 49 per cent stake in Tata SIA Airlines, which operates Vistara, while the remaining 51 per cent is owned by the Indian conglomerate. On the other hand Air India has not given any reply regarding this.
