Indian Mobile Block Tracking System: The Government of India is making great arrangements to trace the stolen smartphones. Very soon the Indian government is coming up with a new ‘mobile tracking system’, through which you will be able to easily find your stolen smartphone. The name of this system is Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR). The special thing about this system is that it not only allows you to block the stolen or lost phone, but through this you can also track your lost or stolen phone.

When will the platform be launched?

Earlier it was being said that the government can launch this platform this week. But, now the news has come out that the government is going to open this platform for all from May 17. The news agency PTI has told about this date. However, no official has confirmed the date. According to the official website of CEIR, this system was deployed in all the states and union territories in March this year. But it seems that from this month it will be widely rolled out in all the districts as well.

Know your mobile app will come in handy

CEIR basically allows citizens to block their smartphones if the phone is stolen. Once the mobile is blocked, the government tracks the phone and traces the phone and returns it to the citizen. If your smartphone is lost, you can visit the CEIR website. Apart from this, the smartphone can also be blocked through the KYM (Know Your Mobile) app. This app is available for both Play Store and iOS. If you get your lost or stolen phone back, you can also unblock your device from the unblock option on the CEIR website.
