New Zealand’s strong comeback in T20 series against Sri Lanka, won the match unilaterally

Sri Lanka tour of New Zealand: The Kiwi team has made a strong comeback in the three-match T20 series being played between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. After losing the first match of this series in the super over, New Zealand badly defeated Sri Lanka in the second match played today (April 5). In this match, New Zealand first all out Sri Lanka for just 141 runs and later won the match with 32 balls remaining.

In this match, New Zealand captain Tom Latham won the toss and chose to bowl first. Coming to the total of 29 runs, Sri Lanka lost the wickets of both its openers. After this, Kusal Perera (35) and Dhananjay D’Silva (37) shared a crucial 62-run partnership for Sri Lanka. Here, as soon as Kusal Perera was dismissed, there was a flurry of wickets and the entire Lankan team was all out for 141 runs in 19 overs. Kiwi bowler Adam Milne took 5 wickets for 26 runs.

New Zealand chased down the 142-run target in a frenzied fashion. Here opener Chad Bowes was dismissed after playing an innings of 31 runs off 15 balls. After this, Tim Seifert scored 79 runs off 43 balls and captain Tom Latham played an unbeaten inning of 20 runs to give New Zealand a 9-wicket win. The Kiwi team won in the 15th over itself. Adam Milne was chosen as the ‘Player of the Match’.

Decisive match will be held on 8th April
This three-match T20 series being played in New Zealand is now tied at 1-1. The third and last match of this series is going to be decisive. This match will be played in Queenstown on 8 April. This match will start at 6.30 am Indian time.
