Small Scale Entrepreneurs In India: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has given a big statement on Sunday. Sitharaman said that loans worth about Rs 2,500 crore have been given to street vendors, small entrepreneurs and cattle herders. He said this in a program organized at Dussehra ground in Kota, Rajasthan. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla was also present with him on this occasion. This loan has been given through schemes like Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Yojana, Mudra Yojana and Pashupalak Kisan Credit Card.

Finance Minister Sitharaman said in the meeting that under the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana, the loan has been guaranteed by the Prime Minister himself, so there is no need to present any document for the guarantee. He said that at least Rs 68 crore loans are being given to the cattle rearers. Many others are also being given loans for various business and agricultural purposes.
Demand to form farmer producer organization
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman urged women to form Farmer Producer Organizations in their areas and take loans from banks for setting up storage and processing units in their villages.
Target to make the poorest people the strongest
On this occasion, Lok Sabha Speaker and local MP Om Birla has appealed to street vendors, small entrepreneurs and animal herders to take loans under various government schemes to increase their work. He said, ‘We want to create a new economic system and make the poorest of the poor the strongest.
