According to Credit Suisse’s Global Wealth Report 2022, the number of millionaires in India will double from the present to 2026, while the number of millionaires in China will be 97 percent more than the current level. United States, the world’s largest economy, will increase by 13 percent millionaires. At the same time, the number of millionaires in the whole world will increase from 2.50 crores in 2021 to 8.70 crores.
America will have the most millionaires. In second place is China. But the gap between the US and China is huge. India’s share in the total millionaires of the world is only close to 1 percent. At the same time, America’s share in the total millionaires is 39 percent. According to Credit Suisse, the number of millionaires in the world by the end of 2021 is 6.25 crore. At the same time, in 2020 their number was 5.2 crore.
According to a Credit Suisse report, adult wealth in India has grown by 8.8 per cent since 2000, to $15,535 (Rs 12,66,800) by the end of 2021, but it is much lower than the world average.
