Meta Blue Verification Charges in India: After Twitter, now Facebook’s parent company Meta is going to charge for blue verification in India. Inspired by Elon Musk’s Blue Tick plan, Meta had planned to charge for this during February this year.

Meta Blue Tick Verification has already been rolled out in Australia, USA and New Zealand. Meta is charging $11.99 per month in these countries. Now Meta is working on a plan to introduce it in India and soon Indian users may also have to pay.

How much will be charged in India

According to the Indian Express report, for Meta Verified, Indian users will have to pay Rs 1,450 per month for mobile and for web access verification, Indian users will have to pay Rs 1,099 per month. Blue tick will be given on Facebook as well as on Instagram. It will be combined with a multiple layer security.

What is Meta’s plan regarding verification

It has been said in the report that Meta will provide Blue Tick along with charging for it. However, for verification, users will have to provide Government ID. With the help of this, the facility of blue tick will be given on Facebook and Instagram. Apart from this, Meta Verified Subscription will provide instant users safety to the users and will give more reach. Although this service was still on adults, below 18 years and was not given to business users.

Meta verification is currently running in beta testing. Users can now join the waiting list for membership by submitting a form on the Meta website. Significantly, Twitter Blue, a subscription-based service is already available in India. Its cost is Rs 900 for iOS and Rs 650 for Android.
