  • Kashmiri red chili – 1/2 tsp
  • Whole coriander – 10
  • Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Mango powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1/2 tsp
  • Desi Ghee – 2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Boiled potatoes – 3
  • Cornflour – 1 tbsp
  • Green chili – finely chopped 2
  • Black pepper powder – 1/2 tsp

Chole Recipe

  • To make Chole Tikki Chaat, soak chickpeas overnight and put chickpeas in a pressure cooker.
  • Add black cardamom, small cardamom, cinnamon, turmeric and salt to it and cook for three to four whistles.
  • Heat desi ghee in a pan, add cumin, asafoetida, cinnamon and whole coriander and let it crackle.
  • Now add Kashmiri red chili, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chole masala and cumin powder and cook for some time.
  • Put the prepared spices in the boiled chickpeas, mix and cook, adding pomegranate aamchur powder to it.

  • To make tikki, take boiled potatoes and add cornflour or sawdust to it. If you want, you can also add bread to it, it gives good binding.
  • Add finely chopped green chillies, cumin powder, black pepper powder and salt as per taste and mix well.
  • Make circular tikkis from the prepared mixture and heat ghee in a pan and shallow fry them.
  • To assemble the chaat, put tikkis in a plate, add chickpeas to it, serve after adding green chutney, tamarind chutney, onion, sev and pomegranate seeds.
