Made in India iPhone’s charm, exports increased four times in the last financial year

iPhone Exports: Manufacturing of other products of Apple (iPhone) including iPhone (Apple India Manufacturing) in India is continuously increasing. Due to the ongoing tension between America and China (US China Relation) and the situation arising out of the Kovid epidemic, India is also benefiting. The latest figures testify to this. Statistics show that during the last financial year i.e. 2022-23, the export of iPhone from India has increased almost four times and has crossed the level of $ 05 billion.

iPhone became the first brand

According to a news from the English newspaper ET, during April 2022 to March 2023, iPhones worth more than $ 05 billion i.e. 40 thousand crore rupees were exported from India. Quoting experts in the news, it has been claimed that Apple iPhone is the first brand to cross the export level of $05 billion. This shows the pace at which the company has expanded its manufacturing capabilities in India.

Smartphone export record

This record rapid growth in exports of Apple’s iPhone has helped overall smartphone exports. India’s smartphone exports crossed $10 billion during the last financial year. This is the first time that India has exported smartphones worth $10 billion or more in a single financial year.

Samsung contributed so much

As per the data, Samsung contributed around $3.5 to 4 billion in India’s total smartphone exports during the last financial year. In this way, after Apple, Samsung contributed the most in India’s smartphone exports. India is now also exporting smartphones to markets like UK, Italy, France, West Asia, Japan, Germany and Russia.

After China, India is becoming the new manufacturing hub for Apple. Apple has decided to shift 50 percent of its iPhone manufacturing to India by 2027. Assembling of Apple’s iPhone in India started in the year 2017 and then Wistron set up its plant in India. After that Apple’s suppliers like Foxconn and Pegatron have also set up plants in India. Recently, Foxconn and Pegatron have also given information about setting up new plants. It is clear that in the coming years, the export of iPhone from India is going to increase further.
