Lucknow used RCB’s 2016 strategy, bowled with 9 players in a single match

IPL 2023 PBKS vs LSG KL Rahul: Lucknow Super Giants beat Punjab Kings by 56 runs in Mohali. Batting first, Lucknow scored 257 runs. This is the second highest team score in IPL history. In response, Punjab players were all out after scoring 201 runs. Not one but many records were made in the 38th match of IPL 2023. Interestingly, Lucknow used a total of 9 bowlers in this match. He made a plan similar to the 2016 strategy of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Captain KL Rahul used 9 bowlers in a single match against Punjab. During this, Yash Thakur took 4 wickets for 37 runs in 3.5 overs. Naveen-ul-Haq took 3 wickets for 30 runs in 4 overs. Ravi Bishnoi took 2 wickets for 41 runs in 4 overs. Marcus Stoinis took 1 wicket for 21 runs in 1.5 overs. Apart from these, no bowler could take wickets. Kyle Mayers, Ayush Badoni, Avesh Khan, Amit Mishra, and Krunal Pandya also bowled.

This was the second time in IPL history when a team used 9 bowlers in a single match. Earlier in IPL 2016 Royal Challengers Bangalore used 9 bowlers against Gujarat Lions. RCB had scored 248 runs while batting first in this match. During this, the Gujarat players were all out after scoring 104 runs. Stuart Binny, Srinath Arvind, Yuzvendra Chahal, Shane Watson, Chris Jordan, Varun Aaron, Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle and Sachin Baby bowled in this match for RCB.

Please tell that Lucknow scored the second highest score in IPL history. The biggest team score in IPL history is recorded in the name of RCB. RCB had scored 263 against Pune Warriors in 2013. In this match, Chris Gayle scored an unbeaten 175 in 66 balls for RCB. He hit 13 fours and 17 sixes. This time Marcus Stoinis scored 72 runs in 40 balls for Lucknow.
