India won the first Test played in Indore by an innings and 132 runs. And in the second match in Delhi, India won by 6 wickets. Australia won the third match played in Indore by 9 wickets. While the fourth match played in Ahmedabad was a draw. After this the ODI series was played between the two countries. In the first ODI played in Mumbai, Team India defeated the guests by 5 wickets. In the second match in Visakhapatnam, Australia made a comeback and defeated India by 10 wickets. Whereas, in the third match played in Chennai, the Kangaroos defeated India by 21 runs to win the series 2-1.
