KS Bharat Test Debut: KS Bharat is part of Team India’s playing-11 in the Test match being played in Nagpur between India and Australia (IND vs AUS). This is the first Test match of his career. Although he has been included in the Indian Test squad many times in the last one year, but he did not get a chance to play in the playing-11 till now. Today when he got a chance to make his test debut, his expressions were worth watching. He was handed over the Test cap by Cheteshwar Pujara.
BCCI has also shared a video on KS Bharat’s Test debut, in which he is seen looking at the Test jersey in his hotel room. In this video, KS Bharat is also seen describing the journey to reach here. During this, he has also given credit to coach Jayakrishna Rao and Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid for reaching this point.
KS Bharat says, ‘Looking back from where all these things started and after so many years of journey have reached here, it is very happy to remember all this. It was indeed a proud moment to see my Test jersey again. When I started playing first class cricket, to be honest, I did not think that I would be able to reach here. The credit goes to my coach Jayakrishna Rao. He believed in me that I have the ability to reach here.

KS Bharat says, ‘Before reaching here, I made my debut for India-A in the year 2018. Then Rahul Dravid sir was the coach of that team. This journey of mine has always progressed slowly. When I played for India A in England, I used to talk a lot with Rahul sir about how to take my game to the next level. He always used to insist that you are doing right, as you are and just keep doing the kind of cricket you have been playing.
