A domestic flight operated by low-cost carrier Jetstar Japan Co. made an emergency landing on Saturday at an airport in the central Aichi prefecture following a bomb threat, local media reported. According to police and airport officials, the aircraft made an emergency landing in Chubu Centrair International Airport at around 7.40 am, Xinhua news agency quoted Japanese public broadcaster NHK as saying in a report. There were reports of injuries upon escape from the aircraft following its emergency landing, it added.
Investigators said an international phone call was received around 6 am, with a man’s voice claiming to have put a bomb on the aircraft.
But as of 10 am (local time), no explosives or other suspicious items were found, according to NHK.
The plane, bound for Fukuoka from the Narita airport near Tokyo, was carrying 136 passengers and six crew members, said the flight operator.

Upon landing in Delhi, the 386 passengers and 14 crew members onboard the flight were immediately evacuated, a senior police official said, as per PTI.
The flight was checked and nothing has been found so far. The aircraft has been isolated, the official informed.
“On Thursday around 11 pm, a threat message was received at IGI Control Room social media site regarding bombs planted on board Russian flight no SU-272 arriving at IGI Airport. The flight landed at 2.48 am safely,” said one of the officials.
Full emergency was declared for the landing of the Boeing 777 aircraft that was being operated by Russian carrier Aeroflot, the official added.

This comes after a false bomb threat was recently reported onboard an Iranian passenger jet over Indian airspace with its final destination in China.
“On Oct 3, intimation was received of a bomb scare on an aircraft bearing Iranian registration, when it was transiting through Indian airspace. IAF fighter aircraft were scrambled, which followed the aircraft at a safe distance,” the IAF stated, as reported by ANI.
“Aircraft was offered option to land at Jaipur & then, at Chandigarh. But the pilot declared his unwillingness to divert to either of them. After a while intimation was received from Tehran to disregard the bomb scare. Aircraft continued on its journey towards its final destination,” the air force mentioned in a statement.
Indian Air Force Su-30MKI fighter jets from Punjab and Jodhpur airbases were reportedly scrambled to intercept the plane.
